Supply Chain Manager/Director

Ferric is a technology startup based in New York City that is pioneering an entirely new approach to power delivery for Integrated Circuits and Electronic Assemblies. This approach leverages Ferric’s integration of thin-film magnetic inductors with CMOS technology to enable a significant improvement in the integration density and efficiency of voltage regulators (VRs) compared with current commercially available technologies.

As a Supply Chain leader, you will be responsible for  supply chain optimization: Developing and implementing strategies to streamline the semiconductor supply chain,ensuring efficient material sourcing, production, and distribution. As such, working knowledge of semiconductor production flow, costing and inventory management is a key requirement. You will also be responsible for developing build plans, managing inventory and costs, and working with sales organizations to meet revenue and shipment goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing Supply Chain support

  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Leading NPI efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to production, managing timelines, and   ensuring adequate supply of components.

  • Supplier Management: Evaluating and selecting semiconductor suppliers, negotiating contracts,and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to secure a reliable source of semiconductor materials.

  • Cost Management: Monitoring and controlling costs associated with semiconductor materials, transportation, and inventory. Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value.

  • Planning and Execution: Responsible for planning and executing the supply chain operations for new product introductions, including materials procurement, production readiness, and fulfillment.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency of NPI supply chain operations

  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborating with engineering, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure a seamless NPI process

  • Develop build plan and inform supplier  forecasts

  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and reliability of semiconductor components through quality control measures and adherence to industry standards.

  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks in the semiconductor supply chain, such as shortages,lead time issues, or geopolitical challenges.

  • Technology Roadmap: Developing a commodity technology roadmap that aligns business requirements with supplier capabilities

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Managing or participating in the entire lifecycle of new semiconductor products,from design and development to production and end-of-life, ensuring efficient supply chain processes are in place.

  • Conducts analysis of  strategic supply chain 

  • Implements strategies for negotiating commodity purchase agreements based on knowledge markets and supply base.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • ERP/MRP systemsWorking knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100

  • Customer and supplier audits

Location: CA Bay Area

Compensation: Base salary of $130,000-$180,000 dependent on experience level and location. Base compensation is exclusive of equity (ISO) and benefits.
